Regular Production (Jam, Jellies, Sauces) - Kitchen work

Number of volunteers needed: Maximum of 2 volunteers per shift

Dates: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (February to November)

Time: 9am until 3pm (Min. 3 hrs, preferred 6 hrs)

Location: Westmount Community League; 10978-127 St., Edmonton

Tasks: To prepare jams, condiments, jellies and sauces

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the preparation of food
  • Cooking
  • Washing
  • Filling jars
  • Labeling jars
  • Other duties as assigned
  • All duties will be under direction of qualified staff
  • Subject to confidentiality agreement

Required Skills:

  • Usually involves standing for periods and may also some knife skills, reading and working with hot surfaces
  • Ability to do moderate lifting
  • Need to be able to follow instructions
  • Responsible and reliable

Age Requirement: Adults preferably or teens who come with an adult for supervision.

Dress Code: Casual. No open toed shoes
