A savoury sauce with a sweet fruity finish. This newest addition to our permanent list is made with 70% locally rescued rhubarb as the base. The hickory flavour comes from a hickory smoked black pepper. The hops are from a locally crafted beer. We selected the Pesky Pig from The Troubled Monk brewery in Red Deer because of the story behind the name. It was named in honour of a brave and determined pig who escaped from his intended end and was finally 'rescued' and lived his life on a farm. How could we not choose this one? 

Featured on our past Celebrity burger of the month at Delux Burger Bar!

Available online in 250 ml bottles

USES: On top burgers, ribs, pork, chicken and other foods. 

Replicate our burger of the month at Delux Burger by using our Hickory and Hops sauce with an Angus beef burger (homemade preferably) and top it with bacon, caramelized onions and chunks of goat cheese. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS: Rhubarb juice, brown and white sugar, vinegar, onion, Troubled Monk – Pesky Pig Beer, molasses, pectin, garlic, mustard, hickory smoked pepper, spices. modified cornstarch, chilies, vinegar, water, ginger root, garlic, sea salt.
